I got the wind knocked out of me.
You know the feeling..... You're on a swing, flying high, having the time of your life. Things are great until the next thing you know, you're laying on the ground.
You can't move and it takes you a second to realize what happened.
You fell, and you fell hard..... You can't breathe!
For a second you lie there wondering if you will ever be able to breathe again.
It's a frightening feeling. It hurts and it's scary.
Everyone comes to your rescue to help you up, brush off the dirt, and make sure you're okay.... But you're frozen... you still can't breathe.
The worst thing about being frozen is that everyone else around you is moving freely.
My life has frozen in time.
Everywhere I look.... from outside my kitchen window, to the people at the grocery store, to the internet.... everyone else is moving, unaffected. Emails keep coming, phone calls keep coming, news keeps happening... but I am at a standstill.
But the thing about getting the wind knocked out of you is that you will begin to breathe again. The whole event that seemed to have lasted several minutes, in reality only lasted a few seconds. And you WILL stand up and get back on that swing!
I feel peace knowing that
And I begin to feel myself thawing….

Be grateful for that courage and ability you DO have to get back on the swing again. Many never realize or believe they can, so they don't! I love you SO, for this and so many more reasons

Oh no, Kristina, I'm not sure what has happened, but I'm thinking of you and if you need anything at all, please don't hesitate to ask. My prayers are with you...
You are amazing! You have an incredible ability to get back into the swing of things! I love you and our prayers are with you as you jump back on!

I agree with April. That was very beautiful. I can't tell you how much that touched me. You truly are amazing Kristina and you are an inspiring example to me and I am sure to everyone else around too. I love you and am so grateful for your friendship (it truly is a very dear friendship). :)
I am not sure either what you are talking about specifically, but for whatever reason I feel like I can empathize. I am sorry for whatever it is that has you down. You are amazing, and will undoubtedly get back up and brush off.
You have a way of putting things, i am glad you are writing again. sometimes when we write it down it takes away a little of the hurt. I know you will come around, when you are ready, and it feels right... Heck if all else fails, go buy some fabric! I sure love you girl, and not a day has gone by where you aren't in my thoughts! I am ALWAYS sending you my warmest wishes on the wind. I hope they reach you and make you smile... Miss you so very much EVERYDAY!
Ditto what everyone else has written. You are the best! You know I have been through the ringer so if you ever need to talk you know my number. Love you!
I'm not sure what happened, but know that you are an amazing person and will get back on that swing without even a bruise. I loved what you wrote, and can definitely empathize. Thanks so much again for yesterday! I can't wait to get to see you again today, and every day following for that matter! We should get together every day we can while we're still here. Loves
Kristina, I love you so much! Thank you for your courageous example and your irreplaceable frienship!
