He did it!!

Shawn completed the biggest test of his life (besides that 'big' test, ya know, the one we're all taking)

Well, we don't know whether he passed or not.... but we certainly know he DID IT!

2 days, 14 hours total, and 500 questions are what stood in his way of becoming the greatest Doctor of Optometry of all time (well, in my eyes at least).

The anticipation of his Boards test was unbearable... for everyone. I think I've done enough whining ranting talking about my personal struggles the past few weeks. But poor Shawn! This guy has studied every waking hour for.... well.... I can't remember when he hasn't been studying! He really deserves an award. I am truly proud of him and all the work he has devoted to doing his best... at everything he does.

  

Shawn, you are amazing! I know for a fact that you have done your best... because I've watched you. You are an example to everyone in our home of the definition of hard work. Now we must sit and wait another 6 agonizing weeks waiting for the test results. But I already know you passed. Not because I have the test rigged (that would have made things easier), but because I know how smart you are.... and that you achieve everything you put your mind to. I love you. Good work!

The work is not over, oh Heaven's no. But the "big test" is. Shawn was excited this afternoon... to say the least.

We spent the evening as a family. We went to McMennamins to enjoy dinner and the movie Tangled. It was great fun, believe me!

The crazy man I am married to is now enjoying his free time.... the time he used to spend studying.... cleaning. I swear, I can hear the vacuum downstairs! What a lunatic. Way to rub on the guilt, Shawn.Okay, I'll get off my butt and help out.
