My first quilt
I have been wanting to make a quilt for a long time. I don't know how to quilt. I've never had sewing lessons, but figured that out myself (with the help of youtube). So, I thought I could figure out quilting too. So, here it is, my first quilt................. made from scraps of fabric I'm in love with.
Okay so it's a little crooked in parts. I made it before I bought a walking foot for my machine and before I got a rotery cutter. And who cares that it's only 12" by 16". At least it keeps someone warm, and she loves it!
Who could possibly sleep comfortably without a pillow? So, of course one had to be made to match (this is a very loved doll).
I wanted to see if quilting was even possible for me, so I started small. Now I'm working on something bigger, maybe a little too big for me, Jefferson is the only one in the house without a blanket on his bed (poor -cold- child)...... I've taken on the challenge of making him one, we'll see how it turns out.

Oh my gosh, that's the cutest thing I've ever seen. Smart to start small! I started big and it turned out HORRIBLE!
Super cute. I am craft challenged. Can't make anything at all! I made the ugliest quilt in the history of the world, I think. BUT, my hubby still sleeps with it and it's his favorite. But it's definitely a sight for sore eyes!
That is something I would love to learn how to do. Good idea to do a small one first. It looks really great though. Go for the king size now!! :)
