Jefferson told us he couldn't eat his dinner because his tooth hurt. I thought it was an excuse, so I made him eat. Sure enough.... it was loose. He played with it a couple days, and on Sunday it was ready to be pulled out. Shawn wanted to do it.
He tied a piece of floss around the tooth and YANKED!
Jefferson was so excited. He put the tooth in a sandwich bag "so the Tooth Fairy can see there's a tooth inside." And he insisted on sleeping in the hallway so she would make sure and find him.
He got 4 quarters.
It must have been her laundry money. If she had been more prepared, I think she would have left a new, crisp dollar.... maybe even two.
The next day we had to take a trip to the Dollar Store so he could get a toy with his money. He bought a gun that shot foam darts. It broke the next day. He checks his teeth every day now, just to feel for another loose tooth, so he can get another dollar, so he can buy a new gun.

can you touch up the bloody tooth smile? - take away the blood. I want a copy of that one. Precious smile!!! I didn't know he slept in the hallway. I bet Grant's wiggling his teeth now too! Gotta Luv 'm.
That is so cute. I love what the tooth fairy would've done had she been more prepared! Haha! I know how she feels.
And Aiken is over losing teeth, but Eva wants hers to fall out so badly, so she can get money. Kids.
The last picture is my favorite of Shawn and Jefferson!!! How fun to hit another milestone!!!
Yay Jefferson!!! What a brave boy! I can't believe he let Shawn yank it out. I'll have to check it out next time I see him. :)
