Game Day

Grant loves playing baseball. LOVES IT! He begs for me to throw balls to him all day.... every day.

He's got a wild hit. He's almost decapitated a few people on the playground and we're lucky all of the windows are still intact in the complex. Needless to say, we've decided it's safer to hit balls at the park from now on.  

His Nana saw his interest and got him on the T-Ball team as birthday gift.

He is in Heaven!

Today was his first game.....

It was adorable to watch. There are no real structured rules. Just the basics.... hit the ball and run, see the ball and catch, throw the ball to the nearest base (or the one everyone is shouting out). The funniest part was watching the kids run wild over the hit balls. There were dog piles everywhere. And the person who finally got the ball out of the tackle was so proud of their accomplishment. It was like 3-Flies-Up.

I would like to tell you how great my son was at the game of baseball. Instead, I am going to tell you how well he outrun his own teammates to get the balls, how well he pushes them to the side for his own gain, then smiles in delight. Well, at least it was nice to see him smile so much. But we have a lot of work to do on fundamentals.
