This weather has been getting to me!
Really REALLY getting to me.
I have self-diagnosed myself with Seasonal affective disorder.
We've had too many gray days. I've had enough. The few times we have had a sunny day, I've noticed I actually clean my house, I'm kinder to my kids, we eat a real meal for dinner..... and I'm happier all around.
A very kind man at church actually said to me, "You don't like to smile much, do you?"
He was serious! Wow, that took me off guard. I smiled, then kept walking.
Do I really look outwardly the way I feel inside on gloomy days?
We had 3 days of sunshine this past week. I was ecstatic. I needed to celebrate, so I sewed a spring skirt for Reagan and I.
A little corny, I know.... yet cute!
I finished the dresses, then the sun disappeared. We wore our spring dressed on a rainy day and I didn't notice a thing. It was like I had harvested the sun and put in into the skirts. I even smiled at that man at church today.... a big huge smile.... and it was a real one!
And I think the skirts were the only defining feature we had to distinguish us as mother and daughter. We look NOTHING alike!! (yes, this means I take back the earlier post where I insisted that we DID look alike. I think I was just desperate!)

maybe the smiles? I bet if you'd had a big flower in your hair, like Reagan's, that would have added to the "look alike" wanta be! ADORABLE SKIRTS.....glad to see you smilin' again.
Those skirts turned out adorable! I love them! I'm with you on the lack of sunshine and the affect it has on EVERYTHING! The clouds and rain are a bit suffocating... hopefully we'll get a bit more sunshine in the near future, huh.
Love them! You look beautiful, Kristina and Reagan is simply adorable! I can't wait to see you two again.
Gloomy days are depressing. The man surely doesn't know you. BTW Cute outfits!
I may know the man you are talking about. While I was pregnant, he would always talk to me about how I was going to breast feed two babies. Yes, a man I hardly know wanted to know what I was going to do with two babies and my breasts. And now I've just mentioned that word on your blog comments twice. Sweet. Feel free to delete my comment for bad language :)
I am cheesy like this, but I LOVE matching my family when ever we go out. I make Chris wear the same color tie to match my girls and I when we go to church. I would love to have matching dresses or skirts. I think it's so adorable!!! I wish I knew how to sew. I would make clothes like that all the time.
Hmmm...I'm pretty sure I have the same disorder Kristina!! I have definitely been missing the sunshine around here as well and whenever it decides to show up, I seem to be in a better mood. So looking forward to the summer and the sunshine!! By the way...those skirts are ADORABLE!! I can't wait for you to teach me all your amazing sewing skills this summer.
