TWO

This little girl just turned 2. I can't believe it. It's been hard for me, realizing that she's not a baby anymore. I try to pick her up and cradle her, or rock her, and she squirms and fusses until I put her down. I smother her with kisses and she yells "STOP!" It's devastating. But as I mourn the loss of my 'baby', I am delighted to see a little girl emerge. She has quite the personality!

She is super spunky and enthusiastic.

She gets really excited and shouts over things as little as feeding the fish, "whoa, (laugh), yeah"... who knew how exciting a fish could be. And there are some times I dread driving her anywhere because I hear shouts constantly, "mama, see.... ohhh, mama.... mama, see" and they continue until I acknowledge everything!

She's a daredevil... she will jump off the couches, slide off of beds head first, and get back up for more.

She's a copycat and will mimic everything we do.

She already helps around the house... when someone spills something at the table, she's the first to get down and get a towel.

She has major separation anxiety.

She insists we call her "sissy" (who knows where that came from?)

She loves music and dancing. Her favorite toys are her instruments. She'll get them out everyday, then drag me over to the cd player to turn on music, then dance around the living room.

She can be very girly at times, she loves her dolls and takes care of them.... but she HATES to have me do her hair or put something in it. She will just rip it out, trust me I've tried everything. Just look at her hair in that picture.... disaster!

Oh, and did I mention she just up and potty trained herself, way to go!

She is a delight to our family and I cherish every single day with her. Happy Birthday to our little girl. She'll always be our baby!
