Tulips,
Some very cute tulips,
LOTS and LOTS of tulips
So many that my children could barely be found in them!
On Monday, we went to the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn. We went for Family Home Evening to "enjoy Heavenly Father's beautiful creations." And enjoy we did!! They have 45 acres of breathtaking flowers….. As far as the eye can see, flowers! Beautiful, colorful, flowers! Have I made my point? It's GORGEOUS!
The kids had a blast running down the rows of flowers….. (that's a tickle, not a punch)
Smelling the flowers….
Examining the flowers….
Dissecting the flowers….
The rules only said "please don't pick the flowers" …. they said nothing about "sticking your hand in the flowers and pulling it apart."
Jefferson took this picture of Shawn, I thought it was funny…
We walked around and all found our favorite variety of tulip. Reagan liked them all, Grant's favorite was Queen of the Night, Jefferson liked the Receado, I like the Aspen, and Shawn liked Arabian Mystery. Who knew there were so many types of tulips?
After spending over an hour checking out the flowers, we went to a kids play area they had on the farm. Swings, slides, a haystack, duck races, you name it!
Gotta love Jefferson with his backwards boots
"All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small. All things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all" I'm amazed with the beauty that surrounds us. We don't have to look too far to notice the Lords hand in all things. Visiting the tulip farm was a fun way for our kids to appreciate the miracles and creations we've been blessed with to enjoy ….. on an almost overwhelming 45 acre scale!!
