Why do I feel like MY children are the only ones who do this? I don't understand. What inspires them to find and get into pens and markers (I do NOT leave them lying out…. these kids have to SEARCH for them) and draw on themselves? This, by the way, is the result of an ink pad…. A bloody INK PAD! Where did she find this? And when is this happening? They can't be out of my sight for a single second! Maybe my children are extraordinarily creative… yes, that must be the cause. They must have a burning itch to be artsy and all they can find to draw on are skin and furniture.
So, from not on, when you look at my disheveled children you can think of how truly creative they are, instead of how neglectful their mother is…
I mean really…. Keeping your child in her soggy diaper, with no clothes, never brushing her rats-nest hair, giving her fruit snacks for breakfast, plugging her into Veggie Tales, and giving her freedom with an ink pad…. now that's far from neglect, that's what we call, 'letting her creative juices flow!'

Weren't we just talking last night about something similar to this happening to one of your boys? :) I do have to say that you are not alone in this from what I have observed. More times than not, my nieces and nephews will have some sort of "body art" displayed upon some or all of their cute little creative bodies :-)
Good thing the lady from the Hillsboro Library parking lot didn't see her like this!! My, am I glad her Nana lives far away, where she's not so easily identified with this child. JK
Holy freaking cow.....must be the creative side of her:)
What a funny post!!! I love how you write because it totally shows your personality. It made me laugh a lot!
Oh Kristina! That little Reagan is a busy girl! But, it is all about their creative juices. :o) I'm glad my 2 year old isn't the only one covered in ink every-other day! And that my walls and furniture are not the only ones left with remnants of his art work.
