I almost forgot to document one of the greatest days of my entire life....
Even more exciting than the birth of my children (okay, not that exciting, but pretty darn close)
Shawn and I finally bought a van.
I guess good things do come to those who wait
... and wait and wait and wait and wait.
To be honest, I don't know what the hold up was. I think we were just trying to test our patience, or see how long we could suffer by smashing into a small car... like the pioneers putting all their belongings into a small wagon. We were like modern day pioneers. Hardly. Really I think we were just lazy and liked to complain more than fixing the problem. What was the problem?
THIS was the problem.....
and this....
Okay, so we didn't always drive around with our car STUFFED with our belongings. But there never seemed to be enough room for anything!!
We were sardines.... literally!
The kids kept growing bigger, and our space kept getting smaller. I would just about have a panic attack when I would pick Jefferson up from school.... just the addition of his backpack and jacket were enough to make me claustrophobic.
It was about time.
So we got ourselves a Honda Odyssey.
This is just a stock photo because I am too tired to walk outside and take a picture of our real car. This is what it looks like though. Just picture it filled with whining children, mud, garbage, and random school papers, and you've pictured our van. I guess buying a new car doesn't mean you always have a clean car.
But one thing is for sure, it's a lot easier to clean. I INSISTED on leather seats. There was NO WAY I was dealing with cloth again. Mostly because of this...
My boys are walking disasters.
Anyways, I am so excited to have a new car. I think it may even make me a better mom.
I'm dead serious!

I absolutely LOVE your first picture here. That will go down in history...I don't think I had ever seen you all packed up for a trip in that car. Crazy.
Yay! Having a van was the best purchase we made in a long time. I love that last photo of your cloth seats. My goodness! And I hear ya on keeping the car clean. Why is that so hard? I hate it.
I feel the same way whenever we load up our car for trips...or trips to the grocery store. I love the van!! That is excellent for you guys :)
